Our director, Kris Freudenthal, moved to South Africa in 2016 following the prompting of the Lord. She has served in Jeffreys Bay through a ministry called Victory4All since 2018. During that time, God began to remind her of a name He gave her as a child "mother to thousands," and how His heart is for the most vulnerable: the children. So, in 2021, she took a leap of faith and opened a home, with the help of a partner baby home in Port Elizabeth, to offer a safe place for babies in waiting (while continuing to work with V4A). This home was offered to her for use by Jessica and Gideon Porter on their lovely farm in Loerie, Eastern Cape, South Africa.

Abba's House received its first placement in early June of 2022, nine months after starting the process for approval. God's timing is beautiful! At the moment, Abba's House is in the process of seeking approval to become a youth centre - allowing us to offer a safe home for more than 6 children at a time and for longer than the current six month placement. Lord willing, we will be able to better serve the children in need in our area very soon!
